Park Ranger Program
The major responsibility of the Park Ranger is to increase safety, provide information/ assistance to the park users, and help prevent non - productive park usage. The objective of the Park Ranger will be to protect our community's investments in our parks, monitor and direct the use of parks and deter vandalism in our park system. A Ranger will be visible at the following times throughout the parks, 5:00 p.m. - 11:00p.m., Saturday and Sundays, 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. The Park Rangers will have a Township ID, wear a department uniform, and be riding in a Park Ranger Vehicle. Please note, the Park Ranger does not take the place of police, but will assist in safety and the security of parks.
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services encourages residents to make use of the park facilities and fields by scheduling activities through the DPRCS office. Permits are REQUIRED for field, facility and picnic area usage. During resident use of the parks and facilities any concerns should be shared with the Parks Rangers or by calling the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services at 732- 247-0922 ext. 475 and ask to speak with Director Benson.
