ANN MARIE CHANDLEE HERITAGE AWARD - The Heritage Award is bestowed each year to a township resident who has been dedicated to improving the quality of life in North Brunswick as a volunteer with a non-profit group or civic organization for an extended period of time. Submissions must be made in writing and must include a detailed description of why the nominee is deserving of the honor. Specific information regarding the nominee’s involvement in the community must be included. Nominations may be submitted to the Heritage Day Committee, 710 Hermann Road, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY VETERAN OF THE YEAR AWARD - The DPRCS is accepting nominations for the Veteran of the Year . Nominees should be a North Brunswick veteran who has shown dedication to the United States Military and The Township of North Brunswick. Nominations should be in the form of a letter and sent to: Lou Ann Benson, 710 Hermann Road by Monday, April 25th.
OUTSTANDING GRANDPARENT AWARD - continues its mission to recognize the people who make a difference in the lives of others. Nominations for the 2011 award are being accepted in the form of a one-page, typed explanation of why the nominated person deserves the title of “Outstanding Grandparent.” Entries must include the name, address, and phone number of both the nominee and the nominator. Entries must be submitted to the DPRCS office by November 8th.
SCHOLAR / ATHLETE / ARTIST AWARD - DPRCS continues to work with our local schools to present monthly awards to scholar / athlete / artist students who have participated in sports, the arts, or community service projects while still maintaining high academic achievements. Open to North Brunswick residents in grades 3-12. Students attending private school are still eligible. Please submit nominations to Lou Ann Benson at LBenson@northbrunswickonline.com.

YOUNG ADULT PEER ADVOCATE AWARD - This award is presented annually to a youth who distinguishes himself / herself by demonstrating examples of strong character , leadership skills, and a positive attitude which influences the youth of North Brunswick. Nominations can be submitted to Lou Ann Benson at LBenson@northbrunswickonline.com by Friday, November 8th.
YOUTH ADVOCATE AWARD - DPRCS will be accepting nominations for the annual Youth Advocate Award to honor an individual that has dedicated their time and effort for the benefit of the youth of our town. Nominees must be a North Brunswick resident and have established a record of rendering outstanding service to our community Nominations can be submitted to Lou Ann Benson at LBenson@northbrunswickonline.com by Friday, November 8th.
